    A T.E.D talk on the origins of pleasure.

     

    Well worth the 15mins investment of your time.  For me the link is that we can actually get more pleasure from our work if we choose to believe that it is meaningful, a valuable contribution, and performed with competence.  If this is not how you experience work, we need to talk.

        Yup. Interesting how we might do that in other areas of our lives too… base our estimate of the value of something based on what others think about it.
