A year has passed since you helped me with my CV and Job Application for the Account Manager role in Mincom and coaching me through this process.
I wanted to give you an update on where this has taken me.
To be honest it has been a difficult road and the learning curve has been extensive and extremely challenging. A number of mistakes were made along the way as you do in the beginning. I have had days where the tears just flowed with the stress and I have had days of high fives for the deals I achieved across the line.
But all in all, I have enjoyed the past year. I have achieved all my sales targets (making my managers very happy), made many customers happy and feeling like they have our attention, and my reward for this is that the company are sending my partner and I over to Borneo for a week. What an incentive!!!
The biggest lesson I have learnt here is to ask for help. If you want something badly enough and want to make sure you give it your best shot - get some coaching, ask for assistance. It was definitely worth it.
